LEAF Tea Shop were once again proud to be associated with Campaign Shop Independent’s Holly & Co campaign during one of the most difficult festive periods in living memory.
The creation of Holly Tucker MBE, founder of Notonthehighstreet, their mission is to support business doing what they love while leading the movement to assist small companies using immersive experiences and creative content.
Offering support to businesses at whatever stage of their journey, they are self-styled virtual co-founders, cheerleaders and mentors, providing inspiration and advice throughout.
The campaign, held between November and December, supports small businesses in a variety of ways, culminating with the prestigious Independent Awards 2020.
The aim of the awards is to showcase the very best creative small businesses across the UK with the help of high-profile supporters such as NatWest, Three, Dell, Royal Mail and Pinterest.
Thanks to £100,000 in prize money, they have been a massive hit, shining a light on small independent businesses just when they need it most with 118 nominees announced in total and each winner receiving £10,000 to help them develop and grow their business.
Championing small business stories, and providing free marketing kits, the campaign also allowed a number of independent retailers, including LEAF Tea Shop, to rally together while encouraging everyone to shop independently thanks to the “Flying the Flag” campaign.
The event saw a number of small business owners picking up placards and taking to the streets in order to raise awareness of all the ways shoppers can support independents over the festive period.
“We were made up to be involved with one of their campaigns towards the end of last year, flying the flag for local businesses, quite literally!”
“It was brilliant to see so many people across the country celebrating the UK’s incredible small businesses.” says Sarah from Leaf Tea Shop
