There is nothing better than basking in the sun with your friends and enjoying a cheeky cocktail while you do so; it’s arguably one of the best parts of summer.
If you are an avid cocktail drinker, you have likely tried them all. Though there are some lovely cocktails, we can all agree that many of them often feel sugary, and after a few, it can be easy to feel a bit nauseous.
We are passionate about innovation here at Leaf, and we predict that tea cocktails will be the next big trend in the cocktail world.
Not only are tea cocktails absolutely delicious, but they may also come with health benefits. Here are some of our favourite tea cocktail recipes.

Chai Old Fashioned Cocktail.
Incorporate chai tea into an old-fashioned cocktail to put a spin on an old classic. With indulgent warm spices and hints of orange, this cocktail is perfect for anyone who loves autumnal flavours.
Ingredients
- An ounce of Bourbon.
- Two ounces of chai tea.
- Half an ounce of orange juice.
- Half an ounce of ginger beer.
- Bitters.
Utensils
- Strainer.
- Cocktail shaker.
- A lowball glass.
Method
- First of all, brew your chai tea and leave to cool for around ten minutes.
- You should then add your chai tea, bourbon, orange juice, ginger beer, and bitters to a cocktail shaker containing ice. Give everything a good shake, ensuring that everything is thoroughly mixed.
- Strain the cocktail into your lowball glass. We recommend using a large ice cube, as it will not melt as quickly and will not dilute your drink.
- If you wish to garnish, we suggest a sprinkle of cinnamon. If you want to go the extra mile, why not garnish with star anise for that extra wow factor? If not, bottoms up!
Peach Iced Tea Cocktail
If you want a quick summer cocktail that will please everyone, consider making a peach iced tea cocktail.
Peach iced tea is extremely popular by itself due to its delicate, sweet flavour. Just imagine how much better it becomes with an alcoholic twist.
Ingredients
- One ounce of whiskey.
- Four ounces of peach tea, chilled.
- Peach slices for garnish.
- Lemon wedges for garnish.
Utensils
- Highball glass.
- Stirrer.
- Strainer.
Method
- To start your peach iced tea cocktail, you should first brew your peach tea. We suggest using peach and petal tea, as these have all the benefits of green tea.
- Once this is brewed, chill until cool.
- Fill your highball glass with ice and pour in your whiskey. Add your chilled peach tea and stir it well. If you want sweet tea, now would be a good time to add sugar or honey; it all depends on your preference.
- Once the cocktail is prepared, garnish with your peach slices and lemon wedge.
- Serve and enjoy.
This is a fan favourite, and you will likely want to serve this drink to friends. To scale up the recipe, multiply the ingredients by the number of people you will be serving the cocktail to.
Earl Grey Martini
This impressive Earl Grey-infused cocktail will leave you feeling like you have stepped straight into a cocktail bar—all from the comfort of your home.
This fresh cocktail is a fantastic light drink to finish off the evening.

- 3 ounces of Earl Grey tea.
- 1 ounce of your favourite gin.
- Lemon juice.
- Egg white.
- Sugar.
- Ice.
Utensils
- Martini glass.
- Strainer.
- Shaker.
Method
- Before you start preparing the cocktail, you should dip your martini glass into lemon juice and then coat the glass in sugar.
- You should then brew your tea. Make sure that the brew is quite concentrated, as that will lead to the best flavours.
- Then, add Earl Grey and other ingredients to a shaker containing ice and shake vigorously.
- Once you have mixed the ingredients, strain them into a martini glass and garnish as you like. I suggest a lemon slice for a touch of acidity.
